But for the betterment of our soul and mind, we need to take a digital detox every now and then. If it is not possible to do so for a full day, you can plan a few hours every now and then. For example- decide to use no techno gadgets at least 2 hours before sleep! That will let you have a peaceful and thoughtful sleep. You will be able to sum up your day’s events and happenings before going to bed.
- Engage in to reading:
When you start reading something useful, you enter into a different visual world altogether! Embrace reading in one among self love techniques and let it become a part of your daily life. We do not tell you to read some philosophical novels or the journals of economics here. You can start from reading your favourite stories on kindle or books or even newspapers’ articles. Just make reading a daily habit. It not only improves your vocabulary, reading gives you a new perspective about the way things are being perceived.
- Keep challenging your mind always:
Just like we need food to be healthy, our mind also needs some food to always let the thoughts flow in the right direction. It helps you in keeping your mind engaged and training it to think with new angles in different situations. Empty mind tends to invite negative energy and thoughts. Food is one of the most favourite self love techniques. Our day to day lives are very busy to think about “what am I going to eat next”. If you have other occupancies than kitchen work, you will definitely not always remember what is stored in the kitchen that you can eat now! Therefore, prepare your meal chart for the coming week over the weekend. This gives you ample time to discuss with your family members what they want to eat and when, to buy the required grocery as per requirement and keep sufficient surplus too.
Planning your meal always keeps you free from the worry of “what should I cook” and hurried cooking or short cut eating.

Work out is a necessity for the body and the soul. When you do some exercise, you often push your body to perform something beyond the zone of its comfort. This tendency arises only through the push that you attain from your soul. Work out brings unlimited coordination in between your body and soul. Therefore, make sure that you workout daily. It can be for a short span of 30 minutes to as long as 2 hours- but make sure you find at least some time every day to do some kind of exercises.

As work outs are the exercises for our body, meditation is the exercise of mind. The difference being that once you get in the workout- you tend to challenge your limits towards more strenuous exercises, while in meditation once you attain a level, you get nothing but calmness and peacefulness. Meditation helps in you in striking amazing balance in between your mind, body and soul. It looks difficult and mundane in the beginning of the practice but when the routine sets in- you do not enjoy anything else more than the stillness of mind that is attained only through meditation. As we often talk that one should count their blessings and be thankful for them in life, it is very important to be followed to attain ultimate nourishment of body and soul. When we express gratitude towards someone for their efforts in helping us, we not only nourish our own soul with humbleness, we impart nourishment to the whole world by creating ripples of encouragement and motivation for helping each other.
